Are you an internationally trained engineering or technology professional?
Have you been unable to find a job in your field because your international education and experience are not recognized in the Canadian workplace?
Do you want a Canadian credential, work experience and a chance at a better career?
Then the Fast Track to Technology Occupations (FTTO) program may be what you need to succeed in the shortest possible time.
FTTO is a Bridge-to-Work program that provides:
I. Workplace Preparation Training
Centennial College and Sheridan Institute of Technology and Advanced Learning are offering a free 250 hour English training and Canadian workplace preparation program which is funded by the Government of Ontario.
Following this training you will have an opportunity to gain advanced entry into a college Fast Track Technology program.
II. Centennial and Sheridan Fast Track Full-time Technology Programs
Qualified applicants will be able to enter technology diploma programs with advanced standing based on their previous education and work experience. Most applicants will be able to "fast track" by entering directly into year two of their program.
Canadian work experience can be gained by participating in co-op work terms.
Standard tuition fees will be charged for the full-time Technology programs. Students are eligible to apply for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) which may provide student loans or grants, and are also eligible to apply for other student scholarships and bursaries.
III. Mentorship Support
Participants will be matched with a mentor - someone in their field who will offer advice and support. This service is funded by the Government of Ontario and there is no cost to participants.
